The Director General of Basra Education, Dr. Abdul-Hussein Al-Eidani, visited the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, and the reception was attended by Dean Prof. Dr. Sabah Mahdi Karim and members of the College Council.
The visit aimed to strengthen the joint bonds between the two institutions to enhance the educational, scientific and research aspect to develop the qualifications of the teaching staff in the Directorate in the fields of physical education.
It was also discussed to prepare the halls and sports facilities in the college to host student activities that fall within the responsibility of the Directorate of Education because of the qualifications that the college possesses that can be invested.
This dialogue included the preparations made by the Dean of the College with regard to the final exams for middle school students and the rehabilitation of halls that correspond to the required number of all service requirements.
This visit was also accompanied by an initiative of mutual honoring between Al-Eidani and the Dean of the College, in appreciation of the efforts and appreciation for the giving made by them.
For his part, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mahdi Karim said, "We welcome Mr. Abdul-Hussein to his visit today, and in turn, we announce a long-term cooperation with the Directorate of Education, and we will endeavor to provide all the facilities and services that are required to be provided."
He also added, "The presence of Dr. Al-Eidani in physical education is a reason to be proud of our influential and generous teaching staff to the point of being honored by the Director General of an important government department such as education."
