University Service Law Law No. 23 of 2008 University Service Law

Article 1

First - The provisions of this law apply to the university service employee.

Second - The following expressions have the meanings indicated to them for the purposes of this law, The Ministry, The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research The Minister,  Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Institution , university or institute University , one of the official Iraqi universities Commission - Technical Education Commission

Third - University service employee means every employee who practices university teaching, scientific research, scientific and technical advice or work in the office of the Ministry of Higher Education And scientific research or its institutions who meet the conditions of a faculty member, stipulated in the Law of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (40) of 1988 or any law replacing it.

 Article 2

The university service employee is responsible for the following:

First - Taking care of students intellectually and educationally, in a way that achieves the interest of the nation and the nation in laying the foundations of the democratic Iraqi society towards building a sophisticated human civilization, using the scientific method of thinking and practice as a tool to achieve those goals.

Second - Carrying out theoretical, practical, applied and field teaching, training, laboratories, laboratories and experimental fields, maintaining their assets, monitoring their proper use and students, supervising meeting theoretical and practical lectures, solving exercises, and checking research reports and messages.

Third - conducting scientific research in various fields.

Fourth - Contribute to university activities such as cultural seasons, university day, college exhibitions, graduation ceremonies, student activities, and the scientific and educational activities he is required to do. Fifth: Contribute to authorship, translation and publication.
