the Continuing Education Division, in cooperation with

the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra, the Educational Guidance Unit, and the Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences,

held a seminar entitled "Electronic Blackmail: The Hidden Crime and Its Devastating Impact on University Students." The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Dr. Saeed Taher, with the participation of first-year students Badour Abdul Aziz and Shahd Alaa.

The Dean of the College expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Head of the Applied Sciences Branch, Professor Dr. Haider Awda, as well as to the Head of the Educational Guidance Unit, Professor Dr. Naheda, Lecturer Dr. Hazem Abdul Latif, and the Continuing Education Division for their valuable efforts in preparing, supervising, and organizing this workshop.

Of course, with all due thanks and appreciation to our esteemed school, Dr. Saeed Taher, for its outstanding academic and educational supervision, which contributed to guiding students towards addressing sensitive societal issues with a spirit of responsibility and academic awareness. We also commend the conscious and commendable effort presented by the two first-year students through their valuable lecture, which reflected an advanced level of understanding, scientific courage, and ethical commitment, contributing to spreading digital awareness and intellectual fortification within the university community.

In this regard, the Dean of the College affirmed that these qualitative initiatives represent an honorable model for the conscious university student and embody the true role of the educational institution in building individuals capable of facing the challenges of the age, especially the increasing risks in cyberspace.
