in cooperation with the College of Sports Sciences at Ferdowsi University of Iran for the period from 12th-13th of next March.

Under the patronage of the Chancellor of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the Chancellor of Ferdowsi University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kafi, the Scientific Conference is held under the slogan "The scientific method is a true embodiment of solving sport’s problems in light of the combination of science and work."

The conference will be chaired by the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at Basra University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mahdi Karim, and the Dean of the College of Sports Sciences at the Iranian University, Prof. Dr. Mehtab Moazami.

The preparatory, scientific and secretarial committees were formed from the two colleges with the existence of an international scientific committee that includes: Professor Nader Shalaby from the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Sadiq Al-Hayek from the Kingdom of Jordan, and Professor Majed Al-Wasafi from the Sultanate of Oman.

The conference deals with several themes, including sports training science, sports physiology, sports biomechanics, motor learning, sports psychology, teaching methods, as well as sports injuries, sports management and organization.

The conference, which hosts twenty-four lecturers from different countries of the world, aims at developing applied sciences in physical and sports activity and to exchange the latest applied achievements in sport sciences and to develop self-learning strategies, e-learning and blended learning.

Creative Shield

The General Cooperative Union represented by Mr. Hassan Jawad presented the shield of creativity and excellence to the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Basra University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mahdi, for cooperation between the Deanship and all state departments.
