The Dean of Physical Education participates in the solidarity stance denouncing the Zionist occupation
Under the patronage and presence of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, members of the College Council, and a number of employees and students participated in the stand in solidarity with the Palestinian cause. An intention to erect slogans in the Karma Ali Colleges Complex.
This stand came to support the protests by students at American universities who reject genocide and human crimes. The stand witnessed the raising of Iraqi and Palestinian flags and the chanting of patriotic and enthusiastic slogans, recalling the Iraqi heroics in the forties and seventies of the last century in the war against the families of Israel.
For his part, the Dean, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, indicated that today we stand in solidarity against the arbitrary measures taken by America in violating the most basic human rights. Therefore, the people remain stronger than the tyrants. When student awareness mixes with human feeling, the conscience will pulse and the thrones of tyrants will shake, so what are the male and female students doing? In American universities, they demand the cessation of financial support for the Zionist enemy, even though they know in advance that they will be held accountable for that. If this indicates anything, it only indicates that there is no value for knowledge and academic certificates at the expense of killing innocent people.
The dean also added that the responsibility is shared, and every jealous person must express his solidarity with the bride of Arabism, and what the University of Basra offers towards the issue strengthens Iraq’s position in general, as the university has a great resonance at the level of the Middle East.
