The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra held its regular council to discuss the progress of work and prepare for a group of activities in the coming period, in addition to developing a plan of action for taking the final exams.
The council was formed under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, and the membership of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Qusay Muhammad Ali, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdul Ali Jaafar, the Head of the Theoretical Sciences Branch, Professor Dr. Ghazi Lafta, the Head of the Applied Sciences Branch, Professor Dr. Thamer Kazem, and the College Rapporteur, Professor Dr. Durgham. Abdel Salem, Director of the Student Affairs and Registration Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Abdel Reda, and Director of the Quality Division, Lecturer Dr. Muhannad Khairallah.
The Dean of the College extended his thanks and appreciation to the professors who completed their assignments, namely Professor Dr. Hassan Farhan, Professor Dr. Firas Hassan, and Professor Dr. Mushtaq Hameed, for the valuable efforts they made throughout their tenure at the position. At the same time, he congratulated the newly appointed professors, who are both Professor Dr. Abdul Ali Jaafar, Professor Dr. Thamer Kazem, and Professor Dr. Ghazi Lafta, wishing them all the best and success in their work.
The dean stressed that the members of the College Council are ready to perform the tasks assigned to them to the best of their ability and to develop a program to prepare for the activities of University Day, corresponding to 4/21/2024, as well as preparing to hold the evaluation exam with the Faculty of Physical Education at Al-Maqal University, in addition to forming central and sub-committees to administer the final exams. Discussing all matters related to the previous committees, in addition to discussing many important topics.
