The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, attended the meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Physical Education in Iraq at Al-Mustansiriya University in the capital, Baghdad.
The meeting included discussing many issues, the most important of which was directing praise and appreciation to the Ministerial Curricula Modernization and Development Committee, which held its in-person workshop at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra.
The meeting also discussed the unification of postgraduate curricula for the master’s and doctoral studies, discussed the formation of new committees, and discussed the formation of joint committees to disseminate research between colleges. The meeting also included a discussion of the program evaluation and accreditation form.
In conclusion, it was discussed to develop a questionnaire form to record all the positives and negatives that accompanied the Development and Modernization Committee.
For his part, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, stressed the continuous coordination between colleges and departments of physical education in Iraq to provide unified outputs, as well as seeking to develop the reality of specialization in Iraq.
