The President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, visited the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and was received by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed.
The President toured the college's corridors and was briefed on the reality of the infrastructure, classrooms, and indoor and outdoor playgrounds, and emphasized overcoming difficulties and providing an exemplary study environment.
The university president also promised the return of work to the college’s Olympic swimming pool, which work will begin in the coming days, in addition to covering the closed sports hall with Isogam and roofing the outdoor playgrounds.
For his part, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, indicated, “We welcome the President of the University, and this is his first visit after assuming the position. We will also work together to sustain and maintain the College’s facilities and provide an exemplary and distinguished study environment worthy of the College’s name and ancient history.”
The Deanship of the College extends its thanks and appreciation to the President of the University for his inspection of the College’s facilities, his diligent follow-up, and his keenness to improve.
