Empowering women with the Deanship of Physical Education is discussing the development of women's sports
  
A delegation from the Women's Empowerment Department in the Basra Governorate Office discussed with the Deanship of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra the development of women's sports, identifying obstacles, and providing ways for success and advancement in this aspect.

Where the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sabah Mahdi Karim, received the delegation, which includes the Advisor to the Speaker of Parliament, Eng. Rehab Al-Abouda, the official of the Women's Empowerment Department in the Governorate Court, Mrs. Enas Ismail Jaber, and the President of the Basra Girl Sports Club, Professor Dr. Lamyaa Hasan Aldewan.
  
This visit is part of a series of visits conducted by the Women's Empowerment Section to government departments, in coordination with the Women's Empowerment Unit, to see what women go through in this sector, identify problems and obstacles, and develop appropriate solutions for each category.
  
It was also agreed to draw up a joint working mechanism between the two parties to implement many activities and events that will be held this year on the sports, health, awareness, and cultural levels, targeting university girls in particular and visual girls in general.
  
In addition to this, the two parties discussed the Basra Girl Sports Club, the reasons for its cessation, the endeavor to activate it, and to benefit from the experience the club went through and the scientific and practical expertise of the club's president and members of the administrative board.
  
It is worth noting that the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra is one of the most important governmental institutions supporting women's activities and events related to women's empowerment in various fields, specifically sports. The college has embraced over the years a group of women's activities at the level of Iraq.
  
In turn, the dean of the college indicated, "The college includes the best professors with successful experiences in various fields of life, so we harness these capabilities to support the Women's Empowerment Department. This is what we agreed upon during the honorable visit, and we will work to achieve the agreement in the best way. and we demand that it be activated as soon as possible.”
