The Dean of Physical Education Meets With the Prime Minister's Advisor

The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Sabah Mahdi Karim, met with the Advisor to the Prime Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Shahba Ahmed Hussein, on the sidelines of the Voluntary Effort Festival to honor the figures working in the Gulf 25.

Where the two parties discussed the sports issue in the country and strive to develop it and work to identify obstacles and problems and solve them through the unified sports law and the need to prepare and legislate it, especially after the success of the Gulf Cup in Basra and the upcoming sports trends.

The dean was assigned as part of a committee of eight personalities to develop the academic and methodological framework for the Unified Sports Law according to the Diwaniya order issued by the Office of the Prime Minister in order to prepare for the law and what it represents of necessity at the level of the sports sector and stand up to its requirements to meet the need and keep pace with international and local development and evoke sports experiences leading.

For his part, the Dean stated, "We are fully prepared to carry out this task, and we will work to be as good as we think and competent for this responsibility, as we have previously demanded more than one position to legislate a law that protects athletes, meets their needs and aspirations, and works to develop the sports file in Iraq. In the stage of preparation and seeking to include it within the Unified Sports Law.
