The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra held a memorial ceremony for the spirit of the retired teacher, Professor Dr. Youssef Lazim Kammash, in the conference hall of the college.
 
Where the deceased was lamented on the podium by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mahdi Karim, the retired Brigadier General, Eng. Taha Abdel Karim, the former president of the Naval Club and the teacher, Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Saleh, the sports pioneer, Captain Abdel Amir Hussein, and the master of ceremonies, Prof. Dr. Saeed Hussein.
 
It is mentioned that Lazim was a sports expert and represented many national teams and clubs in the football game, as a player and coach from Basra and the rest of the provinces, in addition to being an educator who graduated from multiple generations and a scholarly stature. He has a collection of literature and research in different fields.

In turn, the Dean of the College stated, "The departure of our honorable professor caused a big hole in the scientific and mathematical side because of his good effects that are mentioned in all forums and benefit from and taught to students of knowledge, and we will do everything that is required to perpetuate the mention of this lofty scholarly stature."
