The Legal Clinics Network extended its thanks and appreciation to the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mahdi Karim, for his role in the 16-day campaign to combat violence against women.

It is noteworthy that the network is an implementing partner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and it consists of thirty-one civil society organizations that seek to provide legal assistance to vulnerable and marginalized groups in Iraqi society.

For his part, Mahdi indicated, "We always accept cooperation and participation with civil organizations for the sake of progress, spreading awareness and education about the most important issues affecting Iraqi society.
