The Deanship of the Sports College supports an initiative hosted by Basrawi

The Deanship of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University provided full support for the youth initiative (hosted by Basrawi), which was adopted by dozens of Basra youth, by preparing 2,000 residential homes to host sports fans in preparation for the Gulf 25, and providing them with all hospitality requirements.

The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mahdi Karim, provided all facilities to the members of the Coordinating Committee of the initiative during their visit, after they presented to him the details of the initiative, its implications, and what the initiative needs from the college.

In turn, Mahdi indicated, "The college, its deanship, and its professors are strongly supportive of the upcoming carnival and provide all facilities for this initiative, which reflects the generosity of the Iraqi people and all initiatives that raise the status of Basra and its people."
