The Branch of Applied Sciences in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra held a social meeting for first and second stage students and for the teaching masters in the branch.
The students’ meeting included several axes, the most important of which were the educational and moral aspect inside the examination halls, in addition to full adherence to the instructions regarding university uniforms, student identity, bringing exam requirements and attending on time.
It also included a detailed explanation of how to answer during the exam in both its physical and electronic aspects, where an experimental electronic test was conducted to facilitate the task for students, and each student was provided with his own university email that he used to perform electronic exams.
This included the second meeting that was held between the branch's presidency represented by Prof. Haider Abdul Razzaq and the teaching staff to identify and overcome obstacles and draw up a plan for the final exams.
Several axes were addressed, the most important of which is setting a schedule for exams commensurate with the type of subject and its conditions, in addition to the process of dividing and delivering grades, setting the annual quest for students, and distributing students to the halls according to a census commensurate with the conditions of exams and health guidelines.
For his part, Abdul Razzaq said, "We have a great responsibility to achieve complete justice for teachers and students in these exams, so we held multiple meetings to raise problems and develop appropriate solutions to avoid mistakes at this important stage."
In a related context, the Dean of the College earlier directed the heads of branches to communicate with the teachers and students to complete this task successfully. It also worked on preparing the exam halls from the service side and providing the appropriate atmosphere that maintains the student’s focus and not distracted him during the exam.
In turn, the Deanship appreciates all the efforts made to make the final examination process work in the best way, and also commends the effort made during the academic year by all faculty and staff in service to the College and the University.
