As part of the ongoing preparations for the grand annual festival, the President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Al-Dahan—accompanied by members of the central student graduation committee—conducted a field inspection visit to the "Palm Trunk" Stadium (Jath' Al-Nakhla) at the Sports City. The visit aimed to closely review the logistical and technical arrangements for the graduation of the "Lions of Mesopotamia" (59th) Class.
The tour included an extensive meeting at the venue, during which committee tasks and the distribution of roles and responsibilities were reviewed to ensure the highest levels of organization and spectacle, befitting the University of Basrah’s name and storied history.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Dahan emphasized the need for concerted efforts and the mobilization of all technical and service resources to present the ceremony in a magnificent manner that reflects the genuine joy of the graduates and their families. He noted that the class name—"Lions of Mesopotamia"—carries profound national significance, transforming the event into an academic and national epic that embodies the ambitions of the youth and the contributions of the academic community.
For their part, members of the central committee presented their detailed vision regarding the student procession, the organization of the main stage, and the entry procedures for graduates and guests.
