A New Scholarly Contribution Added to the Achievements of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basrah
As part of efforts to support scholarly output and encourage creative academic talent, the Deanship of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basrah received a new scholarly work from one of its faculty members: a book titled
"Smart Movement Rehabilitation: Foundations and Practical Applications in Treating Sports Injuries"
Authored by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Khayoun Taresh, the book presents a contemporary scientific perspective on movement rehabilitation and the treatment of sports injuries. It bridges scientific principles with practical applications and highlights the role of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in advancing sports rehabilitation programs and enhancing the quality of services provided to athletes.
The author presented a copy of the book to the College Deanship in the presence of the heads of the scientific departments, Professor Dr. Ghazi Lafta and Professor Dr. Haider Ouda. This gesture reflects a spirit of loyalty and belonging to the academic institution, as well as pride in the College’s role in fostering scholarly work and supporting the journey of academic research and authorship.
For its part, the College Deanship commended this outstanding scholarly contribution, affirming that every academic book produced by the faculty represents a qualitative addition to the College’s academic record. It stands as living proof of the wealth of scientific expertise within the College—talent capable of generating knowledge and serving both the sports community and society at large. The Deanship congratulates Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Khayoun Taresh on this scholarly achievement, wishing him continued success and excellence, and looking forward to further publications that enrich the fields of sports and academia.
For when knowledge is penned by its own scholars, it becomes an institutional legacy, a source of pride for future generations, and an enduring mark on the journey of academic contribution.
