The University of Basra Council held its fifteenth morning session to discuss the current state of scientific and academic affairs.
The University of Basra Council, chaired by Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, held its fifteenth morning session, attended by his assistants, the council secretary, and its members.
The session began with the approval of the minutes of the previous meeting and a discussion of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (the Council of Opinion), along with the university administration's vision for developing academic work and enhancing scientific research.
During the meeting, the agenda was reviewed, which included discussions on scientific and administrative matters, mechanisms for developing scientific research, and consideration of several issues concerning postgraduate and undergraduate students, approved according to ministerial regulations and instructions.

Al-Asadi stated that the university is moving steadily towards achieving comprehensive academic quality. He added that the outcomes of the regular university council meeting were aimed at enhancing the efficiency of administrative and scientific performance and propelling scientific research to the ranks of world-class universities.
