A historic milestone for the college… Full program accreditation affirms our academic leadership and is a badge of quality and excellence.

With immense pride and gratitude, I extend my deepest thanks and appreciation to the esteemed President of the University of Basra and the respected members of the University Council for their unwavering support, continuous assistance, and diligent follow-up, which have been instrumental in achieving this remarkable accomplishment: the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra receiving full program accreditation for its Bachelor's program for a period of four years.

I also extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the ministerial delegation of the National Program Accreditation Assessment Team at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The precision of their performance, the depth of their evaluation, and their genuine commitment to establishing quality and accreditation standards reflect a high level of expertise and national commitment to developing our academic institutions. Thanks are also due to all the members of the College Council, the Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul-Razzaq Kadhim, and his esteemed team, represented by the program accreditation committees, as well as all the faculty and staff who exerted exceptional efforts and worked as a unified team, bearing additional burdens and significant responsibilities throughout the preparation, documentation, development, and follow-up phases, until this achievement, of which we are all proud, was realized.

I would also like to express my gratitude to our dear students, who were the focus and purpose of the accreditation process, and whose cooperation and commitment contributed to showcasing the bright image of their college. This accreditation was not a coincidence, but rather the fruit of diligent work, continuous planning, and a firm belief in the college's ability to achieve quality standards and academic excellence, adding to its record of successes and achievements.

We ask God Almighty to grant us all success in continuing the path of development and advancement, and that this achievement will be an incentive to achieve further successes befitting the name of the University of Basra and the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
