As part of the University of Basra's commitment to monitoring the final examinations and ensuring adherence to academic and organizational regulations, the University Examination Monitoring Committee visited the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences this morning, Sunday, May 10, 2026. The committee was headed by Professor Dr. Majid Nouri from the College of Science, and included Professor Dr. Hisham Hussein from the College of Nursing and Professor Dr. Ahmed Muwaffaq from the College of Education for Humanities.
The committee was received and accompanied by the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, and his administrative assistant, Professor Dr. Abdul Ali Jaafar. The committee conducted a field visit to the examination halls and committees, and reviewed the organizational mechanisms and procedures in place to provide a suitable environment for students during their final examinations.
The committee expressed its great satisfaction with the smooth workflow, the strict adherence to ministerial and university directives, and the application of all required academic and organizational standards. This reflects the significant efforts exerted by the college's deanship and staff to ensure the success of the examination process and present it in a manner befitting the scientific and academic standing of the University of Basra.
For his part, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, for his continuous support and keen interest in monitoring the academic and examination processes across the university's colleges. He also commended the dedicated efforts of the committee's chairman and members, praising their meticulous follow-up and scholarly observations, which contribute to enhancing the quality of academic performance and elevating the educational process at the university.
