The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences Holds its Sixth Session to Discuss Several Important Issues

The Council of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra held its sixth session for the 2025-2026 academic year, chaired by the Dean, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, and attended by his deputies, the council's rapporteur, and its members. The session focused on following up on directives from the Ministry and the University Presidency, and discussing mechanisms for developing academic and administrative performance.

The session began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in remembrance of the martyrs of Iraq. This was followed by expressions of gratitude and appreciation to the head and members of the Ministry's program accreditation team for their efforts in evaluating the college's performance during the past period. The council also commended the active role of the heads and members of the committees in preparing the requirements for program accreditation.

The council discussed and approved the admission plan for undergraduate studies for the upcoming year. At the same time, it emphasized the necessity of adhering to the directives of the Ministry and the University Presidency regarding the final examinations for both undergraduate and graduate studies for the 2025-2026 academic year, stressing the importance of preparing examination halls and providing the necessary resources to ensure the success of the examination process. The session also addressed the directives of the University President regarding monitoring the progress of examinations and providing a suitable environment for them, while emphasizing adherence to the uniform dress code for students, which enhances discipline and provides a suitable organizational environment that contributes to the smooth conduct of examinations.
