In a sporting celebration sponsored by the University President… Physical Education professors write the final word with three goals… and Agriculture is out of the running
Amidst a festive atmosphere brimming with enthusiasm and a spirit of fair competition, and under the generous patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, and in the presence of the deans of the Colleges of Engineering, Agriculture, and Physical Education and Sports Sciences, the sports hall at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences hosted a remarkable football match between professors from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and their counterparts from the College of Agriculture. The match transformed into a sporting spectacle of creativity and excellence.
From the opening whistle, the Physical Education professors imposed their rhythm on the match, relying on their experience and physical and technical prowess. They appeared as if they were knights of the sport, riding their opponents (Agriculture) with ease, moving confidently between the lines of play, making the difference with high skill and a remarkable team spirit. The first half was barely over when the superiority translated into clear goals, with the Physical Education team finding the net three times, reflecting their tactical and organizational dominance. The Agriculture team attempted a comeback and managed to score a single goal, but it wasn't enough to change the course of the match.
The match was more than just a sporting competition; it embodied the deep fraternal bond between the university's colleges and affirmed that sports remain a bridge for communication and rapprochement, no matter how intense the competition on the field.
At the conclusion of the match, the University President praised the outstanding technical level of both teams and the high level of sportsmanship displayed throughout the game, emphasizing that such events enhance the presence of university sports and foster an environment of creativity and interaction among faculty members.
