In line with its strategic direction towards building well-rounded student personalities, the Student Activities Division at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Basra, organized a handball tournament for the college's male and female students. This tournament, part of the approved extracurricular activities program, underscores the division's leading role in promoting sports culture and instilling the values ​​of fair competition and teamwork.

The tournament witnessed wide participation and remarkable student engagement, reflecting a growing awareness of sports and interest in university activities. The college administration provided all the necessary organizational support to ensure the event's success and the achievement of its educational and physical objectives.

The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, commended the efforts made in organizing the tournament, praising the students' enthusiasm and discipline. He emphasized that such activities are fundamental to shaping the university student's character and developing their physical and psychological capabilities, in addition to their role in strengthening institutional loyalty and instilling core sporting values.
