The second scientific workshop continues the activities of the Ninth International Scientific Conference at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Basra.

The activities of the Ninth International Scientific Conference continued today, Saturday, with the launch of the second online scientific workshop, held under the theme:

“Sports and Digital Transformation… Scientific Visions for Building a Sustainable Future.” The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed.

The workshop featured a new group of professors and lecturers specializing in sports from within and outside Iraq. They presented scientific lectures addressing the latest developments in the fields of sports training, sports psychology, teaching methodologies, and sports management, with a focus on employing digital technologies to enhance academic and athletic performance.

This workshop is part of a series of online workshops organized by the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra in cooperation with its counterparts at the Universities of Maysan, Dhi Qar, Wasit, and Muthanna. The workshops are held in the evenings at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The conference organizers emphasized that the second workshop represents an important scientific extension of the first, contributing to deepening the concepts of digital transformation and enhancing the capabilities of researchers and those interested in the sports field, in a way that serves the goals of sustainable development.
