The first online scientific workshop of the 9th International Scientific Conference at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Basra, commenced today, Friday.
The workshop, themed "Sports and Digital Transformation: Scientific Visions for Building a Sustainable Future," was launched in the presence of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, and with the participation of a select group of faculty members and lecturers who presented the workshop's topics.
This workshop is part of the 9th International Scientific Conference organized by the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Colleges of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the Universities of Maysan, Dhi Qar, Wasit, and Muthanna.
The workshops will be held online over two days, Friday and Saturday, at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM, with the participation of specialized professors from within Iraq and abroad, representing reputable Arab universities. The workshops addressed four main areas: sports training, sports psychology, teaching methodologies, and sports management, emphasizing the role of digital transformation in developing academic and research work and building a sustainable future for sports.
The conference organizers hope for broad participation from researchers and those interested in the field, given the importance of these workshops in serving the scientific community and developing athletic performance.
