The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basrah held its annual evaluation conference for the 2024-2025 academic year on Sunday morning, December 14, 2025. The conference took place at 9:00 AM in the conference hall of the College of Pharmacy, under the theme:

"Towards an Integrated Evaluation System that Supports Academic, Research, and Athletic Excellence."

This conference is part of the institutional approach adopted by the University of Basrah to establish a culture of evaluation and sustainable development, promote the principles of total quality management, and raise the level of academic, administrative, and research performance in its colleges.

The conference featured in-depth scientific and administrative discussions with the university president, during which performance indicators for the current academic year were reviewed, strengths and weaknesses were identified, strategic plans were examined, and development prospects were explored in line with the requirements of academic accreditation and university rankings.

In this context, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, emphasized that the conference represents a pivotal moment for evaluating achievements and establishing a realistic roadmap for improving university education outcomes, developing scientific research, and supporting university sports. He commended the ongoing support provided by the University of Basra's administration for the modernization and development process.
