Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdul Ali Jaafar, and Professor Khaled Ashour, participated in the Third International Scientific Conference entitled:
(Sports Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence - Visions and Applications)
organized by the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Diyala from August 27-28, 2025, with the participation of a select group of researchers and academics from various Iraqi and Arab universities.
The Dean emphasized that the conference is an important scientific platform for exploring the new horizons opened by artificial intelligence in the field of sports education, noting that its themes focused on updating curricula, developing training and teaching methods, and employing modern technologies in the service of sports and related sciences. He also explained that such forums contribute to strengthening scientific cooperation between universities and supporting the process of academic development. At the conclusion of the conference, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President of the University of Diyala and the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Diyala for their generous hospitality and warm welcome, wishing them continued success in serving the scientific and academic process, and stressing that these conferences represent a solid step towards employing modern technology to serve sports and enhance the status of the specialty academically and societally.
