The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, participated in the closing ceremony of the President of the University’s Futsal Championship, which was held at the College of Science Stadium.
The tournament was organized by the Student Activities Department at the University of Basra, and the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, and a number of professors and students from the College of Management and Economics and the College of Engineering participated in the final, and the latter won by five goals to four.
For his part, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, stressed the necessity of holding sports activities between colleges that result in communication between students of various specializations, in addition to their recreational and psychological impact.
