The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, welcomed the students accepted for the academic year 2023/2024 with the start of work according to the announced ministerial calendar.
The Deanship also calls upon the Deanship to expedite registration for students whose registration has not yet been completed, and to resume work for registered students who are accepted on the General Channel and the Champions Channel.
It is worth noting that the number of students accepted so far has reached one hundred and eighty-five students, male and female, and the college is awaiting the Ministry’s announcement of the acceptance of the private (parallel) government education channel and the Martyrs’ Family channel.
The dean said, “We summarize our words of kindness and welcome with the phrase: Welcome to the children of today, the makers of tomorrow, and the heroes of the future. The entire college is rejoicing and happy with your presence and will strive to realize your dreams and meet your ambitions.”
He also added, "In compliance with the instructions of the esteemed ministry, we announce the start of the official working hours for students of the first stage, and according to what we have received, this week will witness the results of parallel admission and the families of martyrs. Therefore, we ask our children to commit to perseverance, diligence, diligence, and the pursuit of excellence and success."
