Basra University signs an agreement with Ferdowsi University for the faculties of physical education and sport sciences

The College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Basra signed a joint cooperation agreement with the College of Sports Sciences at Ferdowsi University of Iran.

Where the Ferdowsi University visited Basra with a high-level and multi-dean delegation of different faculties aimed at the above subject with the rest of the faculties at the University of Basra,

The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences were visited by the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences in Ferdowsi, Dr. Rashid Amir, and Ferdowsi University's Associate for International Affairs, Dr. Ihsan Qabal, and members of the Scientific Committee, Dr. Muhammad Sawadi and Dr. Mojtaba Bazarfshan.

The agreement also includes a set of articles aimed at exchanging experiences and cultures between the two institutions according to a divided and scheduled work plan, including the exchange of teachers, academic delegations and graduate students, in addition to holding scientific conferences.

The two universities are obligated to provide travel and housing visas and issue the required official books and certificates during the time period in which the agreement is required, which is the new academic year 2023/2022.

It is noteworthy that Ferdowsi's delegation attended the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences on the fifth of the second month of the current year and was briefed on the capabilities and qualifications of the college and held an extensive meeting with the Deanship and the two parties reached the outputs that led to this agreement.

In turn, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mahdi Karim, indicated, "We aim at international cooperation with solid educational institutions that will work to increase expertise, develop capabilities and expand the scientific and cultural circle of academics at Basra University."

He also added, "The advanced capabilities of the faculty in our college, and the seriousness of the delegation of Ferdowsi University for the corresponding college, as well as their advanced scientific level, make us believe that the agreement will show us results worthy of the names of the two prestigious universities and colleges in the coming months."
