Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences Attends Final Competition for Doctoral Students (3MT)

Professor Haider Awfi Ahmed, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, attended the final rounds of the 3AT International Competition for Postgraduate Students on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Imam Ali Hall in the College of Law.

The competition, held under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, and under the supervision of his Scientific Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Khazal, included organizing the final rounds of the 3MT International Competition for Postgraduate Students.

The event was attended by several college deans, as well as a number of assistants and lecturers.

The University President began his speech by welcoming the attendees, emphasizing that holding this competition for the first time at the University of Basra is a distinguished scientific event and a pioneering step in supporting scientific research and honing the skills of postgraduate students.

For his part, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, praised the university's role in sponsoring this event, emphasizing that it represents an important platform for encouraging students to present their research ideas in simple and effective language.

The Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Qusay Muhammad, emphasized that these initiatives contribute to developing students' capabilities and strengthening the university's academic standing.

The event witnessed widespread interaction from attendees, who praised the quality of the students' research presentations.
