The Dean of Physical Education participates in conferences at the universities of Karbala, Baghdad, and Mosul.

In response to scientific invitations and in support of the academic process, the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Haider Awfi Ahmed, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Abdul Ali Jaafar, participated in three international scientific conferences organized by leading Iraqi universities during April 2025.
A delegation from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences participated in the First International Scientific Conference of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala, held under the slogan: "With Science and Knowledge We Rise, and in the Service of Sports We Meet." The conference was held from April 9 to 11, 2025, in cooperation with Hilla Private University and Al-Safwa University College.
The conference witnessed the participation of more than 270 researchers from inside and outside Iraq, whose research addressed various topics in the fields of sports science, such as sports training, sports medicine, physiology, sports psychology, and sports management. The delegation also participated in the Fourth International Scientific Conference on Sports Sciences, College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, held under the theme: "Sports and Technology for Sustainable Development," from April 10 to 12, 2025.
The conference provided a scientific platform for the exchange of experiences and ideas among researchers in the field of using technology to serve and develop sports.
The participation concluded with the attendance of the 20th International Conference of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Mosul, held under the theme: "Innovation and Technology in Sports: New Horizons for Enhancing Performance and Learning," in cooperation with Al-Noor Private University, from April 13 to 15, 2025.
The conference emphasized the importance of integrating innovation into training and educational systems to achieve advanced levels of athletic performance.
For his part, Professor Haider Awfi Ahmed emphasized the importance of these conferences in expanding the horizons of scientific research and strengthening cooperation between Iraqi and international universities, noting that such meetings contribute effectively to the development of sports science in Iraq and the region.
