In recognition of their outstanding performance, the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, celebrated the university's futsal team in his office, in coordination with the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed. The celebration was held in recognition of the team's great achievement in winning the Iraqi Universities Championship.
The celebration included words of welcome and encouragement from the university president. An official ceremony was also held during which the university president honored the dean of the college, the coaching and administrative staff, and the players, praising their efforts that resulted in this distinguished sporting achievement.
It is worth noting that the university president and the dean of the college were in constant contact with the team, ensuring that all obstacles were overcome and that the team was provided with the necessary support throughout its journey in the championship. This had a significant impact on achieving this success, which is a source of pride for the University of Basra.
