Basra Police Commander Major General Qassem Rashid Zuwaid met with the committee assigned by the Deanship of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, which was formed by Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Saleh, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Razzaq and Prof. Dr. Loay Kazem, in the presence of the Director of Training and Courses Department, Brigadier General Dr. Muhammad Jassim and Lieutenant Colonel Fouad Mohser Jassim Officer Laboratory Division to discuss crisis management in sports stadiums.

Where the committee was tasked with preparing a study on the security aspect of the 25th Gulf Championship in terms of sports and submitting a file that would help develop crisis management in stadiums and sports-related events.

In a related context, it is mentioned that the College had prior cooperation with the Police Command and worked to provide it with academic expertise and to hold a range of joint activities and events, as well as seminars, workshops and courses of interest to society in general.

In turn, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mahdi Karim, indicated, "The college is open to all governmental and even non-governmental agencies to provide service and benefit in the academic and sports aspects, due to the rich and experienced energies and experiences that the college possesses, and the Basra police have constant contact with the college to exchange experiences and information and hold events and activities."
